The Modus show car thrives on the exceptional amount of living space that it provides for such a compact car. With its warm and friendly personality, it cannot fail to please. Its main characteristics: a one-box design coupled with innovative functions and features for improved safety and driving pleasure. Its wide flexibility also means it is equally at home in town as on the open road.
Seen from front on, the Modus looks friendly and appealing. From the side, it has a streamlined profile. Its large windows evoke a feeling of exceptional roominess. As for colour, Modus comes in a unique shade of ice blue.
Inside, the translucid roof and cab-forward windscreen accentuate the feeling of space. The Modus show car features an innovative upholstery concept, which explores the possibilities of photographic printing. The process uses inkjet technology to print a landscape motif onto the fabric.
Modus also introduces some major innovations: additional cornering lamps, which give increased peripheral vision, and the split-opening tailgate, which enables access to the boot in all situations, even in confined spaces (tight parking space, vehicle pulled up too close behind, etc.).
The main innovation is the ''Triptic'' rear bench seat. It slides up to 170mm fore and aft with four possible positions. Depending on its position and thanks to its ingenious folding mechanism, this bench seat can accommodate two or three passengers.
